Milan Design Week 2025: Engineering designs "Città Paradiso"

Thanks to Artificial Intelligence, the Group brings to life a digital and interactive experience in Via Solferino, where visitors can imagine their ideal city.

From April 7 to 13, during Milan Design Week, Engineering — the leading company in digital transformation processes for businesses and Public Administration, led by Maximo Ibarra — offers the public the opportunity to design their own ideal city.

Inside the installation “Città Paradiso”, created for Design Week by architect Mario Cucinella for Corriere della Sera (Via Solferino 28), Engineering, in collaboration with Adobe, presents an interactive and generative experience where everyone can imagine and visualize — in real time — their vision of a perfect city.

The protagonist of this boundless journey is EngGPT, the Large Language Model developed by Engineering, which interacts with visitors through a fluid and ever-changing digital Avatar — a symbol of personal identity shaped by social and cultural interactions. EngGPT interprets words, emotions, and desires, generating a unique visual representation of the participant’s dream city, which can be downloaded directly to their smartphone via QR code.

Every day, new ideas, inspirations, and keywords will enrich this collective narrative, culminating in a large final shared image, built from all the contributions gathered throughout the week.

“With this project, we use our EngGPT to merge the creative power of Generative AI with a storytelling approach accessible to everyone, making visible what often remains only in our imagination: the desire for a better, more sustainable, and more human city. Thanks to Adobe’s innovative image generation model and Engineering’s expertise in Artificial Intelligence, we’ve transformed visitors into co-authors of a new urban imagination,” says Igor Bailo, Executive Director Data & Analytics at Engineering.

The Città Paradiso experience is the result of a collective effort that brings together architecture, technology, and creativity, where Artificial Intelligence becomes a tool for listening and collaborative design. It’s an opportunity to experience first-hand how — when well designed — digital innovation can inspire new forms of participation, creativity, and urban imagination.
