Case Study

Migration Towards the New Fuel Card

We created a new ecosystem for the complete management of Fuel Card transactions.

Where: international
Challenge
The Fuel Card is a fuel card that can be used in more than 2400 filling stations in Europe. The purpose of the project was to replace the current supplier of the customer in the complete transactions management of the fuel card.
Approach
The Fuel Card's entire new ecosystem was developed on the Engineering infrastructure: authorisation system, batch, WebService, portals and more, replicating the as-is logics of the current supplier and integrating it with those of the other customer cards already managed by our systems.
Digital Ecosystem
Solution
Digital Ecosystem
The project involved the migration of the entire customer and point-of-sale database (about 80,000 customers and 340,000 active cards), the creation of communication protocols with local hosts and the implementation of business rules related to the card. The integration processes also involved the card production process, where Engineering acts as a collector between the customer backoffice systems and the card manufacturer, which physically magnetises the cards and sends them to cardholders.
Results

Increased transactions between 25 and 30%

Replacement of the former supplier
