Case Study

Engineering and Oracle for operating theatre and intensive care management

ABSTRACT
We facilitate the digitalisation of operating theatres and intensive care units to support the relevant surgical diagnostic and therapeutic care pathways.

Where: Italy
Challenge
ASUGI, Giuliano Isontina University Health Authority, is a public entity in Friuli Venezia Giulia responsible for managing hospitals and healthcare services, including operating rooms and intensive care units. The main challenges concern operational efficiency, technological innovation, and financial sustainability, with the aim of improving the quality of care and reducing waiting times.
Approach
With a traditional approach to project management, we agreed with the client on an operational plan, complete with a timeline, that meets the deadlines and objectives outlined in the project specifications. Together, we identified the stakeholders involved and defined a flexible evaluation plan, focused on achieving the set goals.

Solution
Digital Ecosystem
To meet the client's requests, we implemented the Ellipse solution on Oracle Cloud, using the compute service to create Kubernetes clusters and following a DevOps approach to improve efficiency and collaboration. Additionally, we integrated native Oracle Cloud tools such as WAF, Load Balancer, and Oracle Backup, thereby ensuring security, load balancing, and data protection, creating a stable and easily scalable Cloud environment.
