MDM Sale
Engineering’s SaaS Metering Data Management solution for measurement management in the Electricity and Gas Sales sector.
What is it?
As part of Engineering’s Smart Energy & Utilities platform, Neta Open Suite, the solution manages the acquisition of measurement data from both regulated and non-regulated sources within a centralized repository. It covers the entire reading management process, including acquisition, validation, consumption calculation, and publication to billing systems.
MDM Sale consists of a set of modular functionalities:
MDM Core: Measurement data acquisition, data cleaning, alarm monitoring, and reporting of data management processes
Validation: Application of configurable and customizable validation algorithms, estimation of missing measurements, and reconstruction of consumption curves
Consumption Calculation and Aggregation: Calculation and aggregation of consumption based on the requirements of software solutions utilizing aggregated data (billing system, EV, IoT, consumption forecasting, customer loyalty systems, etc.)
Billing Item Generation: Acquisition of aggregated consumption and tariff data, calculation of billing items, and publication to the billing system.
The solution is natively cloud-based, ensuring optimal scalability and integrability while allowing the operator to customize it extensively (measurement validation algorithms, alarm management, dashboards).
How does it work?
Key elements introduced in the solution:
Simplify processes for data acquisition, reading verification, detection of anomalous consumption, and data extraction for regulatory reporting
Optimize existing functionalities through intuitive dashboards, effective data verification and reconciliation tools, and bulk reading management features, ensuring high flexibility in parameterization and streamlined communication.
Additionally, MDM Sale:
Protects previous investments by inheriting the modular and composable features of Neta Open Suite, enabling a best-fit technological approach to the Meter-to-Cash process
Supports ecological transition through specific KPI measurements aligned with the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enabling companies to draft their Sustainability Reports.
With Artificial Intelligence algorithms and Machine Learning processes applied to reading validation and anomaly classification, utilities can achieve:
What value for our customers?
Full control over the reading lifecycle
Billing based on actual consumption, reducing disputes and late payments
Increased operational efficiency with complete, updated, and constantly verified data, minimizing back-office activities
Improved service quality for end customers.
