Ibarra (CEO of Engineering) at the G7: "Ready to support the Mattei Plan and the growth of the African continent with AI and Digital Technologies"

At the end of his speech during the G7 Ministerial Meeting in Rome on Industry and Technological Innovation, Maximo Ibarra, CEO of Engineering, the only Italian company invited to the event as a confirmation of the Group's ongoing commitment to Artificial Intelligence research and development, stated: "It was an honor to represent the Italian IT and digital industry and to bring our AI-related projects in support of the Mattei Plan to such a significant event, where Minister Urso and the organization of the ‘G7 Industry and Technological Innovation’ created an international forum for the economic and social progress of African countries.

Engineering has been committed to AI research and development for forty years, believing that it is a key driver to improve people's quality of life and achieve truly sustainable development worldwide. For this reason, in line with the principles of the AI Hub, of which we are part, we presented projects in the healthcare and water management sectors that, through the use of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence, will contribute to the realization of the Mattei Plan, creating positive impacts on the economic and social fabric of African countries, in a perspective of ‘growing together’ and mutual benefits.

Three shared goals were outlined: increasing healthcare efficiency through telemedicine and advanced diagnostics solutions; improving water resource management with IoT and digital twin technologies; and supporting the education of younger generations to make them key players in the digital transformation. Thanks to the experience gained through our Academy, we will accompany each initiative with solid and targeted training programs. Only through the dissemination of knowledge will the generated benefits have a lasting and significant impact, ensuring Africa a new era of growth and integration into the global context."
