Engineering at Automotive Dealer Day Introduces a New Sales Model for the Sector with Its Retail Platform
Engineering, a leader in digital transformation for businesses and public administrations, is a key participant at Automotive Dealer Day (Verona, May 14–16), an event aimed at industry professionals interested in understanding the evolution of distribution dynamics and the future of the business.
At this event, Engineering presents its Retail Platform, which, thanks to its innovative, modular features and flexibility, is already among the most recognized solutions in the retail world and is set to define a new sales and “digital” relationship model between sellers and customers in the automotive sector.
The Retail Platform allows buyers to virtually visit their trusted dealership from anywhere, while still benefiting from the expertise of the seller. Through an app installed on their PC, tablet, or smartphone, sellers can show details of the car's exterior, interior, and simulate the chosen model with available color variations. This new and innovative experience breaks down barriers for both dealers and users, saving time by enabling initial vehicle selection directly from their mobile device, avoiding lengthy waits and travel. It is also a valuable tool for used car dealerships, which can showcase their inventory to potential buyers in different regions, expanding their market and sales opportunities.
Engineering's Retail Platform also represents a significant step forward in optimizing the sales process, offering comprehensive support throughout the purchasing stages. Once the vehicle is selected, it is also possible to manage the deposit payment.
Domenico Murabito, Executive Director – Automotive Division at Engineering commented, “With the introduction of our retail platform, we are enabling a new sales channel in the automotive sector. Thanks to our deep knowledge of markets, operators, and processes across the entire supply chain, we are bringing innovation and efficiency to dealerships, offering a ‘borderless’ shopping experience. Engineering has always been committed to driving change alongside our clients, shaping the future, and ensuring efficiency and success in a rapidly evolving market.”
Francesco Bossoni, Marketing and CRM Director at Gruppo Autoclub stated, “In an era where online presence is as crucial as physical presence, we must offer a consistent and high-quality experience to our customers, whether they visit us virtually or physically. Being involved by Engineering in this pilot project is a significant opportunity for us as it allows us to be the first dealer in Italy to test a new, innovative sales model applicable to both new and used cars. Its introduction will help us expand our market.”
Guests at Automotive Dealer Day will have the chance to experience the Retail Platform on Wednesday, May 15, at 3:00 PM in the Rosa Hall of the Fair. Domenico Murabito, Executive Director – Automotive Division at Engineering, Federico Dell'Acqua, Executive Director - Retail Platform and Mass Market Retail Engineering, Noemi Maglio - Senior Sales Manager Engineering, and Francesco Bossoni, Marketing and CRM Director - Gruppo Autoclub, will share the platform’s features during the session “On & Off Line: Watch, Interact, and Buy. Experience a Borderless Shopping Experience.”
Engineering will also be present at Stand 14 on the second floor, alongside Atlantic Technologies, a group company specializing in CRM, ERP, EAM, HCM & Analytics consulting, with extensive experience in planning, designing, and integrating complex IT systems mainly for private enterprises. At the Stand, Atlantic Technologies experts will present their innovative solutions dedicated to automotive and showcase success stories through concrete projects with leading clients in the sector, allowing automotive companies, dealerships, and fleet management companies to explore how to design winning solutions, like Salesforce, retain current customers, attract future ones, and discover integration possibilities with MuleSoft.
