Engineering participates in the 8th Senate Committee on the topic of AI and infrastructures
"For Engineering, addressing the issue of railway safety, which is very relevant today, means integrating cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence with more traditional ones, with the awareness that digital transformation must be accompanied by a cultural shift. Even the culture of 'near miss' (unrealized incident) can add value in prevention," stated Lina Alberico, Sales Director Railway and Defence at Engineering, during her informal hearing yesterday before the 8th Senate Committee (Environment and Public Works).
"In infrastructure monitoring, we are focusing not only on systems that measure the evolution of infrastructure over time but also on how external events such as landslides or earthquakes can impact the condition of the infrastructure itself. Additionally," "we have been involved in port digitization, which represents complex ecosystems, initially equipping them with traditional management systems and advancing to the creation of digital twins that will allow for the simulation of possible scenarios for strategic planning."
