Challenge
Natural or man-made territorial changes, can have a negative impact on land, buildings, critical infrastructures and natural environment both in terms of territorial sustainability and resilience dynamics.  The public entities in charge of managing massive land assets need to monitor what happens and possibly anticipate repercussion deriving from unexpected or undesirable territorial changes.
Approach
In this context Earth Observatoin open data is becoming increasingly important, in paticular, its integration with other non-EO data enables highly valuable commercial applications. Improve the current solutions and services and open new business avenues for novel applications based on Open Data libraries and enabling technologies such as EO, AI, Cloud and Big Data.

Solution
Digital Ecosystem
The SPOTTED research project combines Artificial Intelligence processes, Cloud technologies, massive open data collection with customizable dashboards to automatically monitor, classify, manage and predict emerging spatial changes. The project uses integrated Open Data collections though Open Data infrastructures such as the EU Portal, the CEF Context broker and Copernicus Hub to empower customized services that optimize the use of data processes addressing them into different monitoring services.
