Challenge
The surge in connectivity and data has spawned intelligent services leveraging data for value creation. Currently, massive processing occurs in the cloud, necessitating centralized trust and authentication, constraining identification portability.
Approach
OASEES creates an open, decentralized, intelligent, programmable edge framework for swarm architectures and applications​. The vision is to provide open tools and secure environments for programming in a completely decentralized manner. OASEES combines the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) paradigm and integrating Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) processes for efficient and flexible decision making.
Solution

The OASEES project aims at creating a new programmability framework which allows edge devices to work together in a decentralized and secure way, using advanced techningologies such as AI/ML accelerators (FPGAs, SNNs, Quantum) and a privacy-preserving Object ID federation process.

This framework is fully open-source and developed specifically for Europe. The project is demonstrated through 6 different pilots. Engineering is part of the design and implementantion of the decentralized, agile and secure architecture for collaborative smart nodes.

The project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe programme - Contract No. 101092702.
