Case Study

Infrastructure and cloud services for greater resilience and security

ABSTRACT
IT advisory and assessment with implementation plans for infrastructure and cybersecurity for a leading irrigation solutions company

Where: italy
Challenge
Our client operates in the industrial sector, specializing in the design and production of sustainable irrigation solutions for both open fields and greenhouses, as well as for the residential market. The identified need is to evolve the information system by adopting new paradigms to enhance resilience, security, operational continuity, performance, and technological innovation.
Approach
The project is based on two main strategic directions: ensuring service continuity and data protection, along with increased flexibility and standardization through the use of cloud platforms. The introduction of a Managed Services model will facilitate efficient migration and onboarding, providing an outsourcing service aligned with industry best practices, characterized by flexibility, transparency, innovation, and continuous optimization.
Solution
Building on an assessment of the existing systems, we launched a project to optimize the IT environment, which involved defining the blueprint and redesigning the client's architectures. Following this evaluation, we migrated the client’s servers to our data centers within our private cloud. We then began providing essential services, including server administration, database management, network management, and backup services, migrating data and applications from a hybrid environment (on-premises and Azure) to a secure private cloud (Veeam on vCloud ENG). Additionally, we implemented a robust disaster recovery solution to ensure operational continuity and introduced an innovative network configuration utilizing SD-WAN technology.
