Engineering is participating in the 13th IBA French-Italian Day conference, where the Lawyer Elsa Catalano, Group Data Protection Officer at Engineering, will speak on the panel "Artificial Intelligence, data and cybersecurity: focus on recent and prospective actions in Italy and France."
Starting with an account of the SUN (Social and hUman ceNtered XR) research project, she will explain how the technical-legal analysis, in the light of recent regulatory, doctrinal and jurisprudential data, must focus on evolutionary aspects and critical elements of the valorization of health data in the European perspective, between computerization (automation) and redefinition of discretionary power, between primary and secondary use of data.
Each year Engineering invests more than 40 million euros in R&D, carrying out projects that explore frontier technologies to design new business solutions under the constant watchful eye of the DPO team and the Legal team, led by Group General Counsel Sabrina Delle Curti.
SUN, one of the R&I projects Engineering is currently pursuing, aims to develop a platform that will integrate scalable solutions for the representation of Digital Twins, wearable sensors and haptic interfaces, and artificial intelligence-based solutions to overcome the limits of wearable devices even in healthcare.
