Successful evolutions with a deep process analysis

ABSTRACT
Digital Maturity Assessment as first step of a solid digital transformation path.

Where: Italy
Challenge
For one of the main Italian companies in the production of valves and mechanisms for oil dynamics, we designed a Maturity Model path for an overall assessment of all company processes. The Maturity Model path had the objective of producing the main KPIs related to company's complexity and maturity and of identifying the main critical points on which the global assessment would be based.
Approach
All this was done within a digital transformation journey that included the replacement of the company's ERP system at group level.
Solution

The process consisted of two different steps:

  • definition of the Business Model Canvas and of the relationship matrix, on which the Maturity Model surveys were created;
  • delivery of the surveys with our consultants and the creation of KPIs on critical business areas.

The work carried out has highlighted a high level of rigidity in the processes, which are too structured, and a poor integration of the group companies acquired over time. In addition, we found a diversified technological context that does not favour the homogeneity of data flows and the correct support of business processes.
