Challenge
The Cotarella Family is an Umbrian winery in Montecchio (Terni) that has been producing high quality wine since 1979 and has won numerous international awards and recognitions. The winery is committed to enhancing the territory and nature through the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly cultivation techniques.
Approach
The aim of our project is to spread the culture of wine and to make the territory, nature and the work of the people of the Cotarella Family known, not only to generate positive impacts for the marketing of the wines produced, but also to arouse interest, curiosity and knowledge among young people.

We developed an innovative solution to offer visitors an immersive and engaging experience in the winery and the surrounding area. Using cutting-edge technologies such as Virtual Reality, Digital Twin and Artificial Intelligence, we have created a customer journey in the Metaverse to tell the story of the winery, the quality of the wines and the beauty of the estates. The immersive journey begins with an overview of the territory, Montecchio, and then approaches the Cotarella Farm and its most important places. The visitor can discover the structure, the vineyards, the barrels and all aspects of product processing, details and information about the wine bottles on display. A new way therefore of discovering the winery that complements, not replaces, the real experience.
