Engineering: leader della Digital Transformation

Shaping European Manufacturing

Shaping European Manufacturing

Engineering intervenes at the roundtable on the role of new technologies in the manufacturing industry.

May 12 2021

Europe's competitiveness is highly dependent on the ability of the manufacturing industry to deliver high-quality innovative products using the latest advances in ICT. The adoption of new technological possibilities (e.g. Industrial Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Cloud Computing) can have a great impact on the production process, lowering the cost of production, improving the speed of operations and minimizing errors.

The European Commission through the DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs and the European Innovation Council and SMEs' Executive Agency (EISMEA) are organising this virtual event to provide an overview on the main trends and adoptions of advanced technologies in the manufacturing sector and to gather different viewpoints and experiences about how to plan and implement the digital transformation of manufacturing SMEs.

Our Senior Researcher, Davide Dalle Carbonare, member of BDVA’s board of directors and co-leader of the Smart Manufacturing Industry group, will participate to the roundtable providing the point of view on the challenges the manufacturing industry faces when using big data.
