The European Week of Active & Healthy Ageing aims to become the European networking and exchange platform to provide innovation support and inter-disciplinary cooperation for active & healthy ageing. It brings together collaboration partners from around Europe (from industry and academia to care providers and the older people themselves), who have a stake in promoting and supporting healthy ageing to innovate new service models in health and care, lifelong learning and employment.
The third edition of the event will take place in Gdansk, Poland and will consist of interactive workshops, discussions, plenary sessions, exhibitions and match-making activities. The event will build on 10 years of legacy of the AAL Association’s AAL Forum, sharing knowledge and showcasing innovation at all levels in the active and healthy ageing sector.
Matteo Melideo, our Head of e-Health R&D Unit, will give a speech in the workshop "Impact-by-design as a key to enhance the impact of AAL projects and experiences" on October 20th.
The session will explore how the approach towards the design and deployment of innovative Active and Healthy Ageing (AHA) services has evolved over the years, and which could be the strategy for the creation of a successful AHA ecosystem. During this session, case studies will be discussed to highlight good practices and Key Performance Indicators, giving evidence of the challenges and lessons learnt.
