PRECINCT: 1st stakeholders engagement workshop

PRECINCT: 1st stakeholders engagement workshop

A project with a holistic approach to increase the safety and security of critical infrastructure for citizens.

Brussels, May 05 2022

EU Critical Infrastructures (CIs) are increasingly at risk from cyber-physical attacks and natural hazards. The interrelationships between CIs have become increasingly complex. Managing the impacts of cascading effects and enabling rapid recovery is becoming more pertinent and highly challenging.

PRECINCT strives to establish an Ecosystem Platform for connecting interdependent CIs and Emergency Services so that they can collaboratively and efficiently manage security and resilience by sharing information such as Data, Critical Infrastructure Protection models and Resilience services. The purpose of the workshop is to present the main outputs of the project and ensure a strong interaction among industry CI stakeholders, end-users, citizens, and many other relevant stakeholders. The workshop includes presentation from project partners on the work that has been accomplished thus far and roundtable discussions to engage stakeholders on technical and business aspects for PRECINCT.

Gabriele Giunta, our Head of the Smart Transport and Infrastructures R&D Unit, will present at 9:10 am the main results and the future activities regarding the PRECINCT Reference Framework for systemic CI security and resilience management. Additionally, at 1:45 pm he will take part in the technological roundtable on the PRECINCT’s Future Technical Aspects.

Vito Morreale, our Director of the Industry and Security Technology, R&D Lab will participate at 3:30 pm in the business roundtable on the Drivers and Barriers for the implementation of new CIP Solutions.

The PRECINCT’s first stakeholders’ workshop is a hybrid event and will be held both live in Brussels and online on Zoom platform.
