HD Forum Italia organizes a program of 3 webinars scheduled from June to October 2021: the main objective of the seminars is to offer an in-depth view on the technical scenarios that will emerge with respect to the use of OTT (broadband Over The Top) platforms as a possible alternative to distribution of linear mass TV.
The meetings will analyze all the aspects and criticalities of internet distribution to support the requirements of traditional television. Each webinar will focus on a specific topic in the context of Internet TV, which affects the entire industry chain, from receiver manufacturers to television broadcasters, passing through telcos and service providers for and OTT.
Mauro Panella, Media Area Director at Engineering, will speak at the third webinar on October 8th on the theme "OTT: UX and Regulation", which will compare OTT and broadcasting with respect to the issues of Quality of Experience (UX and QoS) and regulation.
